Andrea M. Kaszynski

Andrea M. Kaszynski 49 of Peru. Passed away September 18, 2021, in St Margaret Health Peru following a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 24, 2021, at St Valentine Church. Rev J A Small will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Ptak Funeral Home. There will be an additional visitation in the church Friday morning from 10:00 AM till the time of service. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services. Andrea was born May 9, 1972, in La Salle to David and Sherry (Kowalczyk) Moncrief. She married Alex Kaszynski on July 11, 1997, in St Valentine Church. Andrea was a 1990 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. Andrea worked at Eagle’s Grocery store in Peru for over 10 years. She then was director of Food Service for Peru Elementary Schools for over 20 years. In her spare time, she helped at Kristine’s Shower in Peru. She was a member of St Valentine Church. Andrea enjoyed boating, camping, and snowmobiling in Wisconsin with her family. She also enjoyed Duck season because it was a quiet time at home. Andrea loved shopping and loved to plant flowers. She was also the family photographer. She took pictures for all occasions and made picture books for everyone. She documented her whole life with pictures. Survivors include her husband Alex of Peru, her sons Hunter Kaszynski of Oglesby, and Cade Kaszynski of Peru. Her father David Moncrief of Tomahawk, WI., Her sister Cynthia (Brian) Fusinato of Spring Valley, and her brother Brian (Heather) Moncrief of La Salle. Her nieces and nephews are Clayton, Taylor, Takoda, Gage, Mia, and Easton, and her dog, Gus.
