Anita F. Hybki 88 of Peru. Died 1:05 PM January 5, 2019, in Heritage Health Care Center Peru. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11:00 AM in St Valentine Church. Monsignor Richard Soseman and Rev Gregory Jarzombek OSB will concelebrate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the Ptak Funeral Home with a 3:45 PM prayer service. There will also be an additional visitation Wednesday Morning in the church from 10:00 -11:00 AM. Anita, the fourth of ten children was born on December 5, 1930, in DePue. She was the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Kuhar) Suarez. She married Leonard Hybki on July 6, 1957, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in DePue, Illinois. Her first job was a multigraph operator for the foreman in the printing department at Westclox for 15 years. She then worked for State Farm Insurance agent, Henry Hackman, Sr for five years. She also worked for Letterkraft Printers for over 15 years, retiring in 1993. Anita served on the Peru Catholic School Board and was president from 1972-1975. Anita was also an active member of the Peru Catholic School Mother’s Club from 1971-1979 volunteering for various school events. She was devoted mother of her only child, Susan Marie. Anita took great pride in her family and was happiest spending time with them laughing, playing cards, listening to music and cooking. She has especially enjoyed the family tradition of making and sharing her delicious potica. She was the consummate host and enjoyed entertaining for family and friends. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy, Gloria, Lillian, Mary Louise, and Betty as well as her brothers Vince, Joe, and Jimmy. She is survived by her sister Sylvia (Jim) Hubert, her husband of 61 years, Leonard and her daughter Susan, son- in- law James and grand pup Geddy. Pallbearers will be Greg Hybki, Steve Suarez, Robert Hybki, Peter Suarez Dave Suarez and Joel Hubert. Honorary pallbearers will be Deb Funfsinn, Connie Einhaus, and Donna Janusick. Donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital- stjude.org
