Arnold P. McCauley, 85, of Wyanet, died 11:57 AM September 9, 2018, in his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2018, in St Louis Church Princeton. The Rev Daniel Gifford will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery Princeton. The Princeton Veterans Memorial Group will conduct graveside services.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 4-7 PM in the Norberg Memorial Home Princeton with a 4:00 PM vigil service. Ptak Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Arnold was born at home August 17, 1933, in Five Points, IL. (Near Arlington, IL) to Edwin and Mary (Keleher) McCauley. He married JoAnne Doyle December 28, 1957, in St Louis Church Princeton. Arnold served in US Army from 1954-1956. He was a lifelong farmer in Deer Grove, IL. He was a member of St Louis Church and former member of the Tampico Lions Club. Arnold was a self-taught woodworker. He also earned his pilot’s license. Arnold enjoyed his deep-sea fishing in the Florida Keys for many years.
Arnold is survived by his daughters Anne (Tom) Jackson of Rockford and Nora McCauley of Walnut His sons Vincent P. (Pamela) McCauley of Heber City, Utah and John E. (Maryann) McCauley of Dubuque, IA. His grandchildren Hayley and Alex Jackson. Patrick (Nancy Soto Hernandez) Kelly and Margaret Kelly. Arnold is also survived by his sisters- in- law Mary McCauley and June Doyle, numerous nieces, and nephews and a special friend Patricia Quiram and the Quiram family.
Arnold was preceded in death by his wife in 2013 and 2 brothers Robert and John McCauley.
