Barbara J. Griffith 84 of Peru. Passed away on January 23, 2020, in the Heritage Health Care of Peru. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 28 in St John’s Lutheran Church Peru. Pastor Tom Redig will officiate. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 9:00-11:00 AM in the church. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Barbara was born April 19, 1935, in Chicago to John and Elvira (Raymond) Priester. She was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church. She worked at Westclox and then worked at Maple’s Supper Club for 30 years. She then worked at Quick Chick in La Salle for many years. She retired from Target where she was the manager of Food Avenue restaurant. She was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. Growing up in the shadow of Wrigley Field. Barbara is survived by her 3 sons Patrick (Tina) Griffith of La Salle, Michael (Susan) Griffith of Nanpa, Idaho and Wayne Griffith of Peru. 4 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 2 brothers Robert (Mary Helen) Priester of Ohio and John (Paula) Priester of Pennsylvania.
