Bernadine S. Catalanello

Bernadine S. (Twin, Momma, Grandma, GGB, Bea) Catalanello 88 of Peru. Passed away peacefully at 3:25 PM September 8, 2021, in St Margaret’s Health Peru, after suffering for many years with a chronic illness. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in St Valentine Church. The Rev Gary Blake will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:30 AM in the church. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Bernadine was born March 8,1933 in La Salle to Edward and Teresa (Nadolny) Dutkiewicz. She married her sweetheart Robert Catalanello on July 16, 1955, and shared 66 years together till his death. Bernadine was a lifetime member of St Valentine Church. She worked a Westclox until its closing and then enjoyed working for Econofoods for a short period. Bernadine took great pride in her yard and home with her meticulous upkeep. She loved dancing to polka’s and enjoyed fishing trips to Wisconsin with her family as her Bobsey was by her side. GGB just adored her great-grandchildren as they always put a twinkle in her eye. She will be forever in our hearts-May you keep dancing in heaven. Bernadine is survived by her daughter Karen (Terry) Neff of Washington, IL., Two granddaughters Tiffany Neff and Tamara (Steve) Klemm both of Peoria, two great Grandchildren Lucy and Noah Klemm. Her Twin sister Bernadette Lusietto of Peru and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her dearest husband, Robert on March 4, 2021, her parents, precious grandson Bobby, one brother Edward and two sisters Eleanor Bondi and Irene.
