Bernice C. Patyk 92 of Lostant. Passed away December 25, 2016 in Manor Court of Peru. Services will be 9: 30 AM Friday in the Ptak Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St Valentine Church. Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek will officiate. Burial will be in St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday in the funeral home from 4-8 PM. The rosary will be recited. There will also be visitation Friday morning from 9:00- 9:30 AM in the funeral home. Bernice was born March 13, 1924 in La Salle to Aloysius and Helen (Walloch) Loebach. She attended Brown’s Business school in Peru. She married Henry Patyk April 24, 1948 in St Joseph Church in La Salle. She along with her husband were lifetime farmers in the Tonica- Lostant area for over 40 years. She was a member of St Valentine Church. Bernice is survived by her 4 daughters Mary Beth (William) Koenen of St Germain, WS. Kristie (Larry) Laio of La Salle, Karen (Randall) Bacidore of Riverside, IL and Janelle (Francis) Bichl of Elmhurst, IL. 2 sons John (Debra) Patyk of Peru and Terry (Laura) Patyk of Lostant. 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, 1 sister and 5 brothers. Memorials may be directed to St Valentine Church or Luriechildrens.org
