Dana Alexandria Cabay
Age 40 of Peru, formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday, November 29th, 2021, in her home.
Born October 23rd, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois, Dana is a daughter of Diane (Eidrnajer) of Peru, and Donald Cabay, of Chicago. She was raised in Chicago and graduated from Hubbard High School. Dana worked for several years at the Chicago Board of Trade as a runner, and after moving to Peru, at Becks gas station.
Dana is survived by her mother, Diane Cabay (Eidrnajer) of Peru, father, Donald Cabay of Chicago, her daughter, Makayla Hoffman of Peru, Makayla’s father, Jason Hoffman of Chicago, grandmother, Joyce Eidrnajer of Marseilles, Nephew, Sebastion Duplessis of Oak Park, Aunts, Jennifer Radtke of Seneca, and Lori Panawa of Marseilles, cousins, Robert Radtke and Addie Radtke of Streator, Cara Radtke and Sarah Radtke of Seneca, Tracy Panawa, her children, Ariel, Jose, and Alyssa, and Michael Panawa of Woodridge.
Dana is proceeded in death by her sister and best friend, Melissa Cabay, and her grandparents, Gerald Eidrnajer, and Walter and Frances Cabay.
Dana had the biggest, most infectious smile, she had an incredible love for horror movies, fascination with serial killers, and an undeniable love for her family and friends. Dana spent her Tuesdays with her family for family craft day, and her Sundays spent watching football and enjoying John’s Bloody Mary’s.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 5th, at Ptak Funeral Home. The celebration of Dana’s life will begin at 1pm, with a memorial service beginning at 3pm.
