Dolores J.”DJ” Croissant 91 of Ladd. Passed away March 9, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday March 13, 2025, at the Ptak Funeral Home. Pastor Alex Garncarz will officiate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Dolores was born November 8,1933 in Spring Valley to Edward and Marie (Frederick) Sharp. She married Donald Croissant June 27, 1953, at the First Congregational Church Spring Valley.

Dolores worked full time at the business she owned with her husband the Peru Auto Salvage, but always cooked dinner 6 nights a week for her family of 10. On Saturday night Dad would get Tavern Chicken for the family to give her a break.

Dolores was a singer and songwriter of Country Music. She recorded and sang in Nashville. Dolores loved to play her music at local Nursing homes.

Dolores is survived by her daughters Lori Vasquez of Spring Valley, Karen (Fletcher) Wells of Ottawa, Jeri (Paul) Etscheid of La Salle, Kelli (Steve) Pfeffer of Woodstock, Jennifer Croissant of Ladd. Sons Randy (Carolyn) Croissant and Dan (Kim) Croissant of Spring Valley. 25 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great- Great Grandchildren. Her sister Diane (Charles) Batus.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Donald, a son Ricke, daughter Toni Fieser and Daughter Lisa in infancy and a Granddaughter Nicole. Her brother William and Sister Lucille.
