Dolores H. Waskiewicz 88 of Peru, Died 9:30 pm January 12, 2014 in the Spring Valley Nursing Home, where she was a resident for 5 years. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Thursday January 16 at St Valentine Church. Rev J A Small will officiate. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9-11 am in the church. Ptak Funeral is assisting the family with the arrangements. Dolores was born July 14, 1925 in Peru to Joseph and Mabel (Meyers) Siekierka. She married Joseph F. Waskiewicz September 7, 1943 in Peru. She worked At Bassick Company in Spring Valley and then worked at Westclox. She was a member of St Valentine Church. She is survived by her husband Joseph of Peru 1 son Donald J. (Jennie) Waskiewicz of La Salle. 1 daughter Jo Ann (Richard) Van Cleave of St Augustine, FL. 6 Grandchildren Donald Waskiewicz Jr, Sandy Stachowiak, Kathy Gaull, Mandi Waskiewicz, James Waskiewicz and Marci Klieber. 15 Great Grandchildren. 3sisters Dorothy Rimmele of La Salle Lucille Pittman of La Salle, Shirley Groleau. 1 Brother Richard (Sharon) Siekierka She was preceded in death by 1 son David, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Pallbearers will be Donald Waskiewicz Jr, Jewel Waskiewicz, Devon Alleman, Sandy Stachowiak, Kathy Gaull and Mandi Waskiewicz.
