Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mr Mahaffey was October 1, 1932 in Mendota, IL to John and Sadie (Hoerner) Mahaffey. He was a graduate of Mendota Township High School. He married Nancy Dee January 1, 1966 at St Mary’s Church Peru. He and his wife retired as Independent Sales representatives for Books are fun Company of Fairfield, IA He is survived by his wife Nancy of Peru 1 daughter Susan (Paul) Rutkowski of Normal, IL. 2 Grandchildren Jake and Ryder Rutkowski. 1 Brother John Mahaffey of La Moille and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Velva Maynard and Valaria Zimmeran
