Donald C. Redeen

Donald C Redeen 88 of Peru. He passed away Oct 27, 2022, at St Margaret Health Spring Valley. 

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2022, in the Ptak Funeral Home. Rev Dr. Solomon Sudhakar of Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. The La Salle- Oglesby Veterans memorial Group will conduct Graveside Honors. 

Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. 

Donald was born June 28, 1934, in Peru to Harold and Alice (Knight) Redeen. Donald was a 1952 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. He served in the Army from 1956-1958. He married Rose Marie Budziak November 11, 1961, at Zion United Church of Christ in Peru. Donald worked as a tool and die maker for Westclox and then worked in the Machine repair department for Caterpillar until his retirement. 

Donald was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in La Salle. Oglesby American Legion, Spring Creek Golf Course. Donald was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and loved to golf.  

Donald is survived by his wife Rose Marie of Peru, and his daughters Renee (Leonard) Lundeen of Peru, and Jennifer (John Lally) Berkley of Normal. His grandchildren are Ryan Lally and Alexandra Berkley.  His nephew David Brown.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Audrey Brown.
