Dorothy Marie Daniel

Dorothy M. Daniel, 94, of Princeton and formerly of Peru died at 11:10 a.m. March 20, 2013, in Manor Court Nursing home in Princeton. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Saturday in St. Mary’s Church, Peru, with the Rev William Gardner officiating. Burial will be at St. Valentine Cemetery, Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church. Ptak Funeral Home, Peru, is handling the arrangements. Dorothy was born June 17, 1918, in La Salle to Peter and Mary (Kasperski) Klug. She married Edward Daniel on November 30, 1935, in St. Valentine’s Church. Mrs. Daniel worked at the Igloo Drive- In for 50 years until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Valentine Church, Peru. Survivors include one daughter Rose Marie Lund of Princeton; one son, Michael (Carol) Daniel of LaCrosse, WI; 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Husband, Edward J. Daniel; brother, Joseph Klug; son-in-law, Richard Lund; one great grandson and one great-great granddaughter Pallbearers will be her six grandchildren Larry Lund, Lyle Lund, Steven Daniel, Thomas Scanland, Brandon Scanland, and Richard Bell.
