Elaine Julia Cattaneo-Koerner slipped away to eternal rest on August 29 at the age of 85 in Arizona.
A celebration of her life will be held in Chandler, Arizona. Private graveside services will be at Peru city cemetery. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Elaine was born to Lester Nathan and Dorothy Victoria (Burman) Cattaneo on January 11, 1930 in Spring Valley, Illinois.
Elaine was a graduate of Hall High School, where she was a cheerleader. She also was a graduate of the Rockford Academy of Cosmetology and the California Institute of Respitory Therapy.
She was employed by Illinois Valley Community Hospital as a Respitory Therapist and Fiduciary Services in Arizona before retiring in Scottsdale Arizona. Elaine was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed many hours entertaining her family and Children. Her pastimes were watercolor, painting and sewing, scrap booking and playing bingo. Elaine brought beauty and grace to everyone she knew. She was a compassionate, loving soul that viewed life through an artist’s eye. She takes with her a piece of all of us who loved her.
Elaine was the mother of Linda Thomas of Marrietta, Georgia, Kathryn (Thomas) Zawacki of Spring Valley. Julie Kipper of Chandler Arizona and Mark Koerner of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Elaine has 5 grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Elaine was welcomed into heaven by her parents a Brother Dr. Lester Cattaneo and her grandparents.
