Frances Irene Barattini

Frances Irene Barattini (nee Iwanicki) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 20 under the great care of La Salle County Nursing Home and Vitas Hospice. She was born May 25,1920 in DePue, Illinois. One of 10 children of Gus and Hattie (nee Kaszynski) Iwanicki. She has no surviving siblings and her husband Grazio A. Barattini predeceased her in 1987. She survived by her two children, her sons Gregory (of Bali, Indonesia) and Gilbert Barattini (of Peru, Illinois) and his spouse Michele Barattini (nee Barry) and their four children Bianca, Grazio, Bruno and Emma Barattini. Until midway through her 97th year, jus a few months ago, she lived independently, supported be her family and friends in her own home. Family was everything to her, the touchstone of her life. She never hesitated speaking the truth as she saw it and was tireless in giving anything and everything she could to those around her. The lesson learned is to emulate her zest for life and willingness to help those around her. Ceremonies will be private. She will be interred next to her husband at St Vincent Cemetery.
