Gerald G. Lesch 70 of Spanish Fort, Alabama, formerly of La Salle. Died Saturday, September 28, 2019, in his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, October 4, 2019, at St Patrick’s Church. Very Rev Paul Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in St Hyacinth Cemetery. La Salle-Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group and the Air Force Honor Guard will conduct graveside Military Honors. Ptak Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday in the church from 9:30 AM -10:30 AM. Gerald was born March 30, 1949 in La Salle to Eugene and Elaine (Mrella) Lesch. He served in the Air Force for over 20 years retiring as a Staff Sargeant. He was an aircraft maintenance Specialist. After his retirement from the Air Force Gerald worked for the Boeing Corp for 20 years. Gerald is survived by his wife of Chong Lesch of Spanish Fort. AL., his daughter Donna Champion of Spanish Fort, AL., 3 Grandchildren Katrina (James) Sullivan, Kaila (Justin) Brown and Cole Champion all of Spanish Fort, AL. 3 Great Grandchildren James Jr, Kynedi and Kenna of Spanish Fort, AL. 2 sisters Cindy (Ted) Oberholz of Peru and Denise (Dan) Mathison of Peru and his Uncle Ray Mrella of Peru.
