Helen Kocur 104 of Peru. Died 8:40 PM Oct. 11, 2013 in Manor Court of Peru. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 10:00 AM in St Valentine Church. Rev William Gardner will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning in the church from 9-10 AM. Ptak funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Helen was born February 24, 1909 in Peru to Andrew and Martha (Stefaniak) Kominek. She married Steve Kocur June 29, 1951 at St Valentine Church. She worked at Westclox for over 25 years. She was a member of St Valentine Parish, Polish National Alliance and the former Holy Rosary Society. She is survived by her niece Virginia (Ted) Poremba of Ypsilanti, MI and special friend Theresa Blanco of Peru and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974 and 1 sister and 2 step sisters.
