Joseph F. Waskiewicz 92 of Peru. Died July 24,2015 in Spring Valley Nursing Home Spring Valley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday in St Valentine Church. Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek will officiate. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Peru Veterans Memorial Group will conduct graveside Military rites. Visitation will be Wednesday morning in the church from 9-11 AM. The Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services. Joseph was born August 4, 1922 in Peru to Joseph and Victoria Waskiewicz. He married Dolores Siekierka September 7, 1943 in Peru. He worked at M&H Zinc in Peru and then went on to work at Sinclair Oil which is now CF Industries in Peru as a Tanker man up till his retirement. He served in the Army during WWII, he was stationed in Hawaii. He was a member of St Valentine Church, Knights of Columbus Calvert Council La Salle. He is survived by 1 son Donald (Jennie) Waskiewicz of La Salle. 1 daughter Jo Ann (Richard) Van Cleave of St Augustine, FL. 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2014, 1 son David and brothers and sisters
