Judith Therese (Babcicky) Bichl

September 24, 1938- December 9, 2023

Judy Bichl 85 of LaSalle passed away December 9, 2023 in Matthews of Pewaukee RCAC in Pewaukee, WI.  Judy was born on September 24, 1938, in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Evelyn (Marek) Babcicky and grew up in Arlington Heights, IL.  She attended High School at St. Patrick School and attended St. Xavier College in Chicago, IL.  She married Francis (Jerry) Bichl on June 6, 1959 in Chicago and they lived in Arlington Heights until they moved to LaSalle in 1968. 

She was a member of St. Patrick Church.  She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the games with her husband Jerry. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Her family was everything to her and loved hosting family gatherings through the years. 

 Judy is survived by 5 children Fran (Jannell) Bichl of Chicago IL, Julie (Bruce) Fenza of Plainfield, IL, Cathy (Chris) Illman of Pewaukee, WI, Jenny (Adam) Smith of London, OH, Mary (Chris) Wahlig of Hartland, WI.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren Emily Bichl and Ellen (Bichl) Barker, Matt Fenza and Kellie (Fenza) Yde, Sydney (Illman) Slivocka, Maddie and Sophie Illman, Landon and Lily Smith, Marlee, Nikolas and Jack Wahlig. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry of 61 years, and her son Joe. 

 A private prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Ptak Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In remembrance of Judy’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
