Marie Mazurkiewicz 96 of Peru. Died 7:30 PM April 15, 2014 in Simple Comfort Retirement Home in Peru. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday April 22, 2014 in St Valentine Church Peru. Rev William Gardner will officiate. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum Forest Lawn Memory Gardens La Salle. Visitation will be Tuesday Morning in the church from 10:00 AM till time of Services. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Marie was born October 10, 1917 in Jonesville, IL to Frank and Mary (Meglan) Rolando, Sr. She married Walter Mazurkiewicz September 8, 1945 in St Roch’s Church in La Salle. She worked at Westclox for many years retiring in 1980. She was a member of St Valentine Church, Peru VFW Women’s Auxiliary . #8232 and Marine Corp. League Auxiliary. She is survived by 1 Son Walter Mazurkiewicz of Peru. 1 Sister Shirley Miller of Oglesby. She was preceded in death her husband in 1979, 4 brothers Frank, Raymond, Edmund and John Rolando. 2 Sisters Theresa Jensen and a sister in infancy. Pallbearers will be Raymond Rolando, Jr., Timothy, David, Daniel and Joseph Rolando.
