Nancy R. Ptak

Nancy R. Ptak 71 of Bloomington, formerly of Oglesby. Passed away August 27, 2024.

Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Tuesday September 3, 2024, in the Ptak Funeral Home. Fr Gary Blake, of St Valentine Church will officiate.

The visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM –12:00 PM in the Funeral Home.

Cremation rites will follow the services. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Nancy was born November 25, 1952, in Schenectady, New York to Paul and Mary Joan (Salomo) Schlingman. She married Louis M. “Mike” Ptak June 24, 1972, in St Valentine Church. 

Nancy worked at Bergner's in Peru for 13 years and then worked at Citizen Bank, Heartland Bank and then retired from First State Bank in Mendota.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Shawn) Hill of Bloomington, IL, her son Clayton (Brandi) Ptak St Louis, Mo. Her grandchildren Madison and Natalie Hill. 3 sisters Lori (Jeff) Carey of Iowa, Sue Meyers of Granville, IL, and Char (Larry) Williams of Hennepin, IL., her brother Paul (Julie) Schlingman of Arizona and Several nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her Husband Mike in 2016, her son Michael in 2017 and her fiancé Don Staats.
