Olaf L. Grovo

Olaf L. Grovo 75 of La Salle. Died 12:40 PM October 8, 2018, in Manor Court of Peru. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Ptak Funeral Home. Burial will at St Vincent Cemetery La Salle. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 -11:00 AM in the Ptak Funeral Home. Olaf was born October 25, 1942, in La Salle to Olaf and Petra “Pat” (James) Grovo Sr. He married Donna Herron February 9, 1963, in La Salle. Olaf was an auto mechanic and instructor in the area for many years. He had a love for cars and music. He made many CD’s of music for his friends. He won many contests on WLPO and would donate the flowers he would win to local nursing homes. Olaf is survived by his wife Donna of La Salle. 2 daughters Sharice Kieffer of Naples, FL., Melissa Porter of Crystal Lake, IL. 3 grandchildren, 1 sister Lupe Gearica of La Salle and 1 brother Alex (Denise) Grovo of Florida.
