Richard E. “Dick” Ratkiewicz 81 of Peru. Died March 13, 2015 in OSF Peoria. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 11:00 AM in St Patrick’s Church La Salle. Rev Carlson will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday morning in the church from 9:30- 11:00 AM. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Richard was born august 16, 1933 in Peru to Vincent and Agnes (Kasprak) Ratkiewicz. He married Carol Emm in 1968. He was employed at Denler’s Super Market when he was 12 years old working in the produce department. He carried his produce knowledge to many local grocery stores including his own business the farmer’s Market in Peru, where he was known as “Farmer Dick”. He then retired from Hy Vee Market in Peru Richard is survived by his 2 daughter Terri (Michael) Terzick of La Salle and Julie (Jesse) Sarabia of Rialto, CA. 4 Grandchildren Krista Netzley, Amber Netzley, Jeremy Terzick and Jordan Terzick. Six Great Grandchilden Gunner and Bailey Terzick, Jaxyn and Laney Netzley and Emily and Natalie Marriott. 23 Nieces and nephews, several Great Nieces and Nephews and 2 Great- Great Nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carol
