Robert F. Edgcomb 77 of La Salle. Died 12:09 PM July 1, 2014 in St Margaret’s Hospital Spring Valley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 5, 2014 in St Valentine Church, Msrg. Brian Rejsek will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning in the church from 9:00 AM till time of services. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Robert was August 11, 1936 in Dimmick to Thomas and Frances (Supan) Edgcomb. He married Nancy Rauh July 13, 1974 at St Valentine Church Peru. He was director of Maintenance at IVCH in Peru for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St Valentine Church. He is survived by his wife Nancy of La Salle. 1 daughter Bobbi Nicholas Marchuk of Elk Grove, IL, 1 son Dru Edgcomb of Biloxi, MS., 5 sisters Shirley (Jerry) Soens of La Salle, Betty (Ed Waters) Buccafurri of Peru, Diane (Skip) Andersen of Standard, Linda (Jerry) Leslie of Earlville and Debbie Dewey of Ladd. 2 brothers Jack (Patty) Edgcomb of La Salle and Gary (Karen) Edgcomb of La Salle and Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jenie in infancy, his parents and 6 brothers.
