Robert M. Siekierka

Robert M. “Peanuts” Siekierka Sr. 85 of Spring Valley Nursing Home, formerly of Peru. Died 9:28 pm November 22, 2013 in the nursing home. Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday in Ptak funeral Home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 PM till time of services in the Funeral Home. Robert was born August 7, 1928 in Peru, IL to Joseph and Mable (Meyer) Siekierka. He married Lois Derix October 27, 1951 in La Salle. He served in the US Navy. He worked as a machinist at Sundstrand up till his retirement. He was a member of St Joseph Church. He is survived by 2 daughters Diane (Roy) Viano of Indiana and Debbie (Glen) Wiese of Phoenix, AZ. 4 Sons Bob Siekierka Jr of Ladd, Rick (Nancy) Siekierka of La Salle, Brian (Amy) Siekierka of La Salle and Terry (Patti) Siekierka of La Salle. 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. 4 Sisters Dorothy Rimmele of La Salle, Lucille Pittman of La Salle, Shirley Groleau of Phoenix, AZ. and Dolores (Joe) Waskiewicz of Peru. 1 Brother Richard (Sharon) Siekierka of Washington. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2011, 1Brother and 1 Sister
