Ruth A. Faustina Guynn

Ruth Ann Faustina (Znaniecki) Guynn, 77, of Peru. Died peacefully May 3, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family, her caregivers, and friends. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in Ptak Funeral Home. The Rev Jacob Rose Pastor of St Joseph Church Peru will officiate. Cremation rites will follow the services. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the Funeral Home. Ruth was born April 5, 1940, in Peru to Henry and Elizabeth (Kotecki) Znaniecki. She married John Guynn November 16, 1958, in Peru. She attended a 1 room school house in rural Peru and then Graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School in 1958. Ruth worked for Bell telephone, Westclox and Honeywell-Hobbs Company in Spring Valley. Ruth had beautiful gardens and a cobblestone patio and pool she enjoyed as well as cutting the grass on the farm. She was also an avid painter and loved to dance. Ruth is survived by her 2 sons William (Penny) Guynn of Peru and Russell Guynn of Peru. 3 Grandchildren Corrie, Melissa and Patrick. 4 Great Grandchildren Calvin, Carlene, Matthew and Sawyer Ruth. She loved and enjoyed her many nieces and Nephews, cousin and Friends. Especially her sponsor for her Catholic Confirmation Earl Modesto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Her husband in 2011 and her 5 Brothers. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to Betty Pope Glynn Boobapalooza Cops for Cancer Charity.
