Ruth M. Noramczyk

Ruth M. Noramczyk 85 of Peru. Died 11:00 PM March 20, 2016 in Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 2 in St Hyacinth cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Ruth was born August 27, 1930 in Peru to Stanley and Martha (Romanowski) Noramczyk. She was most recently employed by the Tri County Opportunities Council through their Foster Grandparents Program teaching art to Elementary school students at Northwest School in La Salle, where she was affectionately known as “Gramma Ruth.” She also helped as a youth services arts and crafts helper to children in the summer reading program at La Salle Public Library. Ruth loved to travel, watch NASCAR (especially Kurt and Kyle Busch) and dote on Marmalade, Puddy Cat and Spooky her cats. Ruth is survived by her sister Mildred Noramczyk Koscielski, her brother Robert (Diane) Noramczyk, her niece Roberta (Chandler Kirby) Koscielski, nephews Michael (Melanie) Noramczyk and Daniel (Jennifer) Noramczyk, great nephews Brady and Connor Noramczyk and several cousins. She is also survived by her beloved kitties Marmalade, Puddy Cat and Spooky. She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Noramczyk (1980), mother Martha Noramczyk (1950) and brother Stanley Noramczyk Jr (1945) In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to the family for the care of Marmalade, Puddy Cat and Spooky until they are placed with new loving caretakers.
