Sandra M. "Sandy" Dauck

Sandra M. “Sandy” Dauck 59 of Peru. Passed away April 8, 2025, in OSF St Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, with family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM Saturday April 12, at St Valentine Church. Rev Gary Blake will officiate. Burial will be at St Valentine Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 AM in the church. Ptak Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Sandra was born April 13, 1965, in Peru to Walter and Pearl (Zuchora) Dauck. She was a 20-year resident of Horizon House. She worked at Horizon Industries for many years.

Sandy had a very outgoing personality. Happy to introduce herself to everyone she met, She never met a stranger she didn’t like. Sandy was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Sandy donated her organs to the Gift of Hope.

Sandy is survived by her brothers Richard (Chun) Dauck of Hennepin and Gerald “Jerry” (Karen) Dauck of Peru, her nephew Sung Dauck and nieces Angela Selders and Megan Dauck, also Sean and Heather Pondinas.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her niece Samantha Dauck.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorials may be directed to Horizon House in Sandy’s name.
