Shelby Jean Casey

Shelby Jean Casey, 72, of Mark died 6:35 am November 19, 2013 in Manor Court Nursing Home Peru. As Jean wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services, per Jean’s request. Ptak Funeral home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Jean was born April 28, 1941 in Utica to Jim and Mildred (Hoppe) Schicke. She married Duane Casey May 15, 1972 in Peru. She was a 1959 graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School. Jean was an avid Quilter and enjoyed overnight Quilting retreats. She was also an avid sports fan. She is survived by her husband, Duane, of Mark, 1 Son Jim Casey of Naperville. She was preceded in death by 1 Brother, Bill Schicke of Utica. The family wishes to thank Dr Knost, Dr Bailey, the staff at St Margaret’s Hospital and the staff of Manor Court for their wonderful care and personal interaction.
