Stefan J. "Steve" Borys

Stefan J. “Steve” Borys 94 of Peru. Died September 19, 2018, in Manor Court of Peru. As was his request there will be no services. Burial was at St Vincent Cemetery La Salle. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Steve was born July 20, 1924, in La Salle to George and Anna (Wadas) Borys. He married Arlene Piltaver October 25, 1958, in St Roch’s Church La Salle. Steve was a member of St Mary’s Church Peru. Steve served in the Navy as an airplane mechanic. He was a letter carrier for the Peru Post office up till his retirement. Steve is survived by 2 sisters Sophia Safarcyk of South Carolina and Barb Pohar of La Salle. Numerous nieces and nephews and his special extended family Tom and Sue Sickley and their girls Megan, Emily, Molly, Mary, and Kelly Considine. Steve was preceded in death by his wife in 2014 and his son Ron in 1981. 5 Brothers and 5 sisters.
