Victoria Rathbun

Victoria Rathbun 93 of Peru. Died 11:05 AM June 5, 2016 in IVCH in Peru. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at St Mary’s Church Peru. Monsignor J. Brian Rejsek will officiate. Burial will be at St Vincent Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be Wednesday in the church from 9:00 AM till time of services. Ptak Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Victoria was born December 2, 1922 in La Salle to Ernest and Mary (Zory) Borisek. She married Frank Rathbun Sr. September 26, 1942 in St Roch’s Church in La Salle. Victoria worked at Westclox for over 15 years back in the 1940’s and 50’s. She was a member of St Valentine Church. Peru VFW Ladies Auxiliary, SNPJ Lodge 98 and a longtime member of Fish and Fun. Victoria is survived by 1 daughter Sue (Jay) Pienta of Rock Island, IL and 2 sons Frank (Renie) Rathbun of La Salle and James (Lori) Rathbun of Peru. 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, 1 daughter Mary Lee, 1 Sister and 3 Brothers. Pallbearers will be Ty Rathbun, Jake Rathbun, Joe Pienta, Anna Pienta, John Rathbun-Foster, Frank E. Rathbun Jr. and Honorary Pallbearer Jim Dauck.
