William M. Bierbrodt 54 of Florida, formerly of Peru. Passed away December 21, 2023, in St Cloud, Florida.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 23, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Peru.
The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park La Salle. The Peru Veteran’s Memorial Group will conduct Military Honors.
Visitation will be Saturday March 23, 2024, in the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Cremation rites have been accorded. Ptak Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
William was born June 5, 1968, in Peru to Edward and Sarah Bierbrodt. He was a 1986 graduate of La Salle- Peru Township High School. Where he was a member of the football team.
William joined the Army in 1988 and was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield. He served 2 years in the 1st Ranger Battalion in Patton Platoon. During this time, he became very proficient with heavy weapons and operating as an anti-tank gunner was often called upon to teach the younger soldiers. He was a combat veteran of Operation (Just Cause) PFC Bierbrodt parachuted into Panama during operation “Just Cause” and was awarded combat Jump Wings and Combat Infantryman Badge. He also served as commander General’s Driver. He was always punctual and was a great asset to the Army.
William is survived by his mother Sarah Bierbrodt of Peru. His daughters Mary Mikaylah (James Slater) Bierbrodt of St Cloud, FL., Marissa N. Bierbrodt of Harmony, FL and Molly Bierbrodt of Harmony, FL. Grandchildren Kristopher Spence, Lola Sepulveres and Audrey Bierbrodt and His Brothers Greg, David, and Joseph Bierbrodt.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward W. Bierbrodt, his sister Pamala Sue Bierbrodt and his brother Lonnie S. Bierbrodt.
